I think I wasted about 5 days of my life just riding around on the horse. It was called an Epona, right?

Blaze of an Hour

I drank the red, the yellow, and the orange flames of the blaze. I drank them all until all that was left was the single blue flame. The blue was much more quiet, smooth, and aware. The others engulfed all that they could, but the soft dancing blue was the life and soul.

The fire inside me became rage. The rage wanted to live, but could not leave me. The flame was now mine, and so was the blue. It sat, illuminating a world of blue light. My fury and rage could hear the dancing blue flickers, and it attempted escape. Blue split into two tiny flames, and the pair tangoed, and revived the death of the sunset. Now, it’s just me and little blue.

Blue was cold to the touch and grew over time. Her name was Elly. She sat atop my shoulder as we traveled back. After two nights of walking under a clear crystal starry sky, I found myself back to where I had first indulged the blaze. Had I walked in a circle? Elly is the truth and the light. I was unsure where I left, where I began.

A dream cloud appeared in the line of my sight. It reflected a past, attempting me to turn back. Confusion set in. The tree the blaze once inhabited stood reflecting in the cloud. The memories froze the cloud in place. The tree’s memories were strong. The cloud couldn’t move despite its frenzied effort. The trunk morphed into serpent scales. Its wooden arms became feathered wings. Its top became the head and gaping mouth that instantly swallowed the frozen cloud after it finalized its new form. Her fear became mine. Frantically, I ran, Elly clinging to my shoulder. She flew off into the lake, the demon snake hit her. The lake froze instantly. Her gift of an icy cold flame became the cause of her icy eternal frozen slumber. The frozen lake turned into an arena.

The snake eventually caught up to me, slithering after me all the while I ran across the iced over arena. I pulled my only weapon, a lent stone from my pocket. With a solid throw, I hurt only the serpent’s shadow. Panic allied with me. Instinct told me to join Elly. I quickly stomped in place to create an ice trap of cold water for the approaching demon. I failed without even cracking the surface. The serpent’s fangs pierced my left leg, my chest, and finally my head. The last thing I saw was Elly’s frozen expression staring at me from beneath the surface. She wept.

It was the final hour of my life.

sighing, annoyed at the unchangeable irritation
of human moral corruption and unjust devastation
consuming bittersweet reality with dissatisfaction
rejection's objections of unnatural fornication

dreaming the right of a private assignment
to all who join in the way of refinement
of happiness, joy, and overexcitement
everyone's lust for momentary enjoyment

migraines birthed from little people who
swarm uncontrollably all around you
mindlessly wandering with nothing to do
undeniably, unforgivingly, utteringly true

muttering, a horrible day caused from partition
from the few things that matter, severed creation
for no apparent reason than differentiation
of the past and present society's justification

obsolete laws in daily complexities
scheming destruction in common perplexities
bored of daily overbearing miseries
exhaustingly tired of its inhumane glees

one breath away from the disaffectionate coalition
inevitable war devouring our soulless population
uprooted and downrooted by unrooted repulsion
life isn't complete without chaos and tension

merely a day in the life of a typical day
life's absolute work with no pay or play
for the desire of escape, death is the way
if suicide were easy, no one would stay

I like FF5 better simply because it doesnt take 100+ hours of gameplay to 'complete' the game. Also FF5 is a classic!

could you please spend a few minutes fixing up those emoticons?

i need them each:
- to be a .gif image
- have transpareny around the corners (so it appears to be a circle/smile face, not a square image block with some nasty solid background behind it)
- that the images must look good against both a white and a black background

aeris you know my email address, email them to me.
- once they are cleaned up and i can verify they will work as valid replacements to the existing emoticons, i will make the switch to the 'new' ones

i can't remember, what is your issue when trying to use the existing emoticons buttons in the forum BBCode editor?

the absolute BEST world war 2 shooter game in existance is Day of Defeat

i highly recommend and prefer the original day of defeat but about a year or 2 ago they came out with day of defeat: source which has insanely lifelike graphics and a little bit different gameplay

the original probably only costs somewhere between $9.99 and $19.99 , and you never ever have to pay anything else other than the initial purchase price, no monthly fees or any of that crap. money well spent!!

I was playing around on deviantart, looking at stuff, found this really amazing artwork: it is absolutely the most perfect art that could ever go with my 'blaze' story
