Laws

Below is a table chart that tells of each "Law" in FFTA. For your better understanding of the chart, the columns "Recommended" and "Forbidden" define what in-game-actions are recommended (giving you rewards) and forbidden (giving you punishments), respectively. The column "Rank" defines the ranking of the law, and the rank also defines the harshness of the punishment/penalty or 'greatness' of the reward/prize if those in-game-actions take place.

One punishment is a "Red Card", which makes you get a "Game Over". You will ALWAYS get a Red Card if the ranking of the law is the highest rank (Rank-6), and you use that law's corresponding "Forbidden" in-game-action.

More Info pertaining Law-Ranks and Penalties: The higher the rank, the harsher the punishment, or possibly better the rewards, you will get at the end of the battle. Rank 1 is the least concern, where Rank 6 has the harshest penalties. The types of penalties you can get are as follows:

AP Fine: A mastered ability's AP reduced, will need to be relearned.
Card Fine: Confiscate Card(s).
Empty Handed: Unequips all equipped weapons.
Equipped Fine: Confiscate Equipped Item(s)
Gil Fine: Confiscate Gil.
Item Fine: Confiscate Item(s).
Monster Run: Random monster freed from monster bank.
Status Changes: Random stat will be reduced permanantly.
Volunteer: Forfeit of reward.
